What are dentures made of?

There are many types of partial dentures and a dental professional will usually recommend which is best to suit your needs. They range from flexible partial dentures made from heat-sensitive plastic; rigid cast metal framed dentures which are more hard wearing; acrylic 'flipper' dentures which can be bulky, and a fixed bridge which is exactly as the name suggests.

Dentures can be VERY expensive. Most dentures from a cosmetic dentist will set you back somewhere between $2,000 and $10,000, and in some cases beyond. instasmile is a genuinely affordable solution to this with our ‘Classic’ set starting from $400 and our ‘Dynamic’ starting from $600. This also bypasses the need for those extra costly dentistry appointments.

Faster Process

With traditional dentures, the process involves many visits to your cosmetic dentist and can take up to 3/4 months to complete. This can include their impression process and many follow up appointments. The instasmile process usually takes 6-8 weeks which is a huge reduction and comfort when compared to regular dentures.

Faster Process

So with instasmile being cheaper, faster and more affordable than cosmetic dentures, why not see if you are a candidate and save money from the comfort of your own home!

How much are dentures/ partial dentures?

A common question is how much do dentures cost, and the answer will vary depending on the type of dentures recommended for you, and the number of missing teeth you have.

As a guide, a full 'conventional' top or bottom denture can cost around $2,250 - $3,750.

Fixed partial dentures cost from up to $5,000 for a plate and $10,000 for a full set, whereas flexible partial dentures cost up to $1,500. Instasmile clip-on veneers cost from $400 per arch to cover missing teeth, so are $1,000's cheaper.

On top of these costs, you will have to pay an additional cost for any tooth extractions required. Often, your dentist will need to remove one or multiple teeth in order for your dentures to fit properly. The general cost of extraction can be around $100 per tooth.
