Our Promise to You

We will ensure that each product manufactured fits securely in the mouth and provides a cosmetic enhancement to your natural teeth, on the provison that we receive an accurate impression from you. Should this not be possible we will inform you at our earliest convenience.

Missing Teeth

Order Advisories:

If you are missing the 4th tooth, the veneers will finish on your 5th. Covering 10 teeth.

If you are missing the 5th tooth, the veneers will finish on your 6th. Covering 12 teeth.

If you are missing the 4th and 5th tooth, the veneers will finish on your 6th. Covering 12 teeth.

If you have no teeth after your canine (pointed teeth) we will add one or two extra teeth dependant on:

  • If you have shorter teeth we can only add 1 tooth behind. You may require dental adhesive for wear
  • If you have regular sized teeth we can add 2 teeth behind. You may require dental adhesive for wear

The veneers may feel looser in these areas as there are no teeth to clip to.

For single (top or bottom) orders, we will require you to complete an opposing impression, so we can match your bite.

Gum Recession

Solution

We will make your instasmile with facings on the front of the first 6 teeth. This means you would get more coverage on the front of the teeth. We will still make the product covering the front 10-12 teeth. We may also add a false gum to fill areas of recession.

Please see the digram below, the red line shows where a standard instasmile would end at your gumline. The Green line shows where a product with facings would end.

Advisories

  • Top Teeth: The veneer may appear less defined around the gumline.
  • Bottom Teeth: Similar to the upper, the lower veneer may not look fully separated around the gumline, but this should not be noticeable when smiling naturally.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Both veneers may have a less defined appearance around the gum line.
  • If there are receded gums where teeth are missing, additional gum material may be needed, which we can confirm during the scan stage.

Tooth Recession

Solution

We will make your instasmile with facings on the front of the first 6 teeth. This means you would get more coverage on the front of the teeth. We will still make the product covering the front 10-12 teeth.

Please see the digram below, the red line shows where a standard instasmile would end at your gumline. The Green line shows where a product with facings would end.

Advisories

  • Top Teeth: May not fully cover or sit flush to the gumline.
  • Bottom Teeth: May not fully cover, but this should not be visible when smiling naturally.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Both may not fully cover or sit flush to the gumline
  • This includes crowns not sitting flush to the gumline.

Short/ Ground Down Teeth

Solution

We would make your veneers in a more natural design to make it more secure to your teeth, this means the product will follow the position of your natural teeth instead of making them appear straighter. Adhesive may be neccessary to keep the product in place.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

Advisories

  • Top Teeth: May not click into place but should still be secure.
  • Bottom Teeth May not click into place but should still be secure.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): May not click into place but should still be secure.

Crowded

Solution

We suggest a natural design to reduce the thickness of the veneers. If you choose a straighter design the product will be thicker in your mouth. A natural design means the product will follow the position of your natural teeth instead of making them appear straighter.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

In some cases we will make your instasmile with facings on the front of the first 6 teeth. This means you would get more coverage on the front of the teeth. We will still make the product covering the front 10-12 teeth.

Please see the digram below, the red line shows where a standard instasmile would end at your gumline. The Green line shows where a product with facings would end.

Advisories

  • Top Teeth: May appear thick in areas where teeth are set back.
  • Bottom Teeth: May appear thick in areas where teeth are set back.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): May appear thick in areas where teeth are set back.

Diastema or Gaps

Solution

Our design will depend on where the gaps are in your smile. If the gap is over half a tooth, we may need to add a slimmer tooth.

We're happy to send the design to you for approval before completing manufacture.

Advisories

  • Top Teeth: Teeth will appear wider. May not click into place, but will be secure.
  • Bottom Teeth: Teeth will appear wider. May not click into place, but will be secure.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Teeth will appear wider. May not click into place, but will be secure.

Decayed & Damaged

Solution

We will design your veneers to cover as much of your teeth and decay as possible. In some cases, if you have ordered a lighter shade (BL1 or A1) we may advise you to choose a darker shade (A2 or A3) to cover dark patches of decay or damage.

Advisories

  • Top Teeth: May not sit flush to the gumline, and decay may still be visible.
  • Bottom Teeth: May not sit flush to the gumline, and decay may still be visible.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): May not sit flush to the gumline, and decay may still be visible.

Please note: Even if decay is still visible, this shouldn't show when you are smiling naturally. The instasmile will still offer a cosmetic uplift.

Shade Guide

Heavy Bite

Solution

We'd recommend a natural design on your bottom teeth to reduce the risk of the veneers opening your bite, so you can close your mouth comfortably. This means the product will follow the position of your natural teeth instead of making them appear straighter.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

On the top teeth we may create your instasmile with facings on the front of the first 6 teeth so that the back of the top teeth don't catch on your bottom teeth. This means you would get more coverage on the front of the teeth. We will still make the product covering the front 10-12 teeth.

Please see the digram below, the red line shows where a standard instasmile would end at your gumline. The Green line shows where a product with facings would end.

Order Advisories

  • Top Teeth: No issues, just the thickness of the material.
  • Bottom Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Products will open the bite.

Crossbite

Solution

We'd recommend a natural design to reduce the risk of breaking and create a more even bite. This means the product will follow the position of your natural teeth instead of making them appear straighter.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

Order Advisories:

  • Top Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.
  • Bottom Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Will open the bite and be prone to breaking.

Open Bite

Solution

For a dual (top and bottom) order, we'd recommend a natural design to reduce the risk of breaking and create a more even bite. This means the product will follow the position of your natural teeth instead of making them appear straighter.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

Order Advisories:

  • Top Teeth: Cannot fully close the gap.
  • Bottom Teeth: Cannot fully close the gap.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Cannot close the gap, may open the bite more, and be prone to breaking.

Overbite

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

On the top teeth we may create your instasmile with facings on the front of the first 6 teeth so that the back of the top teeth don't catch on your bottom teeth. This means you would get more coverage on the front of the teeth. We will still make the product covering the front 10-12 teeth.

Please see the digram below, the red line shows where a standard instasmile would end at your gumline. The Green line shows where a product with facings would end.

  • Top Teeth: No issues, just the thickness of the material.
  • Bottom Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Products will open the bite.

  • Top Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.
  • Bottom Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.
  • Dual (Top and Bottom Teeth): Will open the bite and be prone to breaking.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.

Order Advisories:

  • Top Teeth: Any product will open the bite and be prone to breaking.

Protruding/ Angled Teeth

Solution

We suggest a natural design to reduce the thickness of the veneers. If you choose a straighter design the product will be thicker in your mouth. A natural design means the product will follow the position of your natural teeth instead of making them appear straighter.

Please see the below image for an example of a natural design.
